Stolen Jeep Involved In Accident, Occupants Flee: Naugatuck PD

Police are seeking in help in identifying the occupants of the Jeep.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Police are asking for help in identifying the occupants of a stolen Jeep that was involved in an accident Thursday night.

At 9 p.m. police were called to a two-vehicle collision in front of 450 Maple Hill Road. There were no serious injuries, however the occupant(s) of the Jeep Renegade fled the scene on foot, police said.

It was subsequently discovered that the Jeep was stolen from Ansonia, police said. A perimeter was established and a K9 track was conducted which failed to locate the occupants. The investigation is ongoing.

The Naugatuck Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the operator of the Jeep Renegade. Anyone with information is asked to call Naugatuck Police at 203-729-5221.
