Suspect Fled In Car At High Rate Of Speed: Naugatuck Police

Police are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Police are asking for assistance in finding a suspect who fled from police at a high rate of speed at 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said an officer initiated a traffic stop by South Main Mobile. The vehicle was CT reg: AL23092, a 2016 Infiniti Model: Qx50 Color: Maroon, police said. The driver provided the officer with a false name, police said. There was a front seat male passenger and a female rear seat passenger, police said.

Upon the arrival of a backup officer the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed onto route 8 South from the Salem Bridge, police said. Due to the high rate of speed, the officers were unable to locate the vehicle after it fled this traffic stop, police said.

Still photos of the suspect were obtained the officers body camera.
