Thieves Break Into Gas Station In Naugatuck: PD

Merchandise was stolen from the Sunoco on North Main Street early Thursday, according to Naugatuck police.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Thieves broke into a Sunoco gas station in Naugatuck early Thursday, and police are asking for the public's help in identifying them.

The incident occurred at about 3:15 a.m., and the thieves stole undisclosed merchandise from the station's store, which is at 531 North Main St.

Naugatuck police did not disclose how the thieves broke into the store, but said that signs of forced entry were visible.

"The investigation is ongoing and our detectives are reviewing surveillance and determining if there is any association with other commercial burglaries in the area," police said.
