Water Street Pub in the Heart of Naugatuck

Naugatuck, CT - The Water Street Pub, established in 2019, is located at 102 Water Street, around the corner from Nardelli’s. Their logo indicates that they offer burgers, dogs, beer and wings, not necessarily in that order.

W.S.P. lists an even dozen burger varieties that are all served with your choice of fries or potato salad; onion rings can be had for an additional $1.

The varieties of burgers include the Classic American topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $6.99. Fried Mac & Cheese is a burger topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and mac & cheese that has been fried. The Sunrise Burger is topped with a fried egg, bacon, cheddar cheese and sauteed onion.

The Chili Cheese Bacon burger is topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion and homemade chili. The West Coast Burger comes with fresh guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion and melted pepper jack cheese. The Black Bean Burger is topped with cheddar cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato and onion.

The Thanksgiving Burger is actually a turkey burger topped with stuffing, onion, gravy and cranberry mayo. I cannot say that I have ever seen anything like this on any burger menu and sounds quite good. The Cowboy Burger is topped with sauteed mushrooms and onion, bacon, cheddar cheese and BBQ.

The Black & Blue burger is topped with blue cheese, sauteed mushrooms and onions, while the Hot Boy Burger is topped with crispy onion rings, jalapenos, spicy mayo and melted pepper jack cheese. The Rock a Billy Burger is topped with goat cheese and sauteed onion with a balsamic glaze. The final burger on the menu is The Chick that features a crispy chicken cutlet, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. There is an option to “Go Big” that allows you to make any of the specialty burgers into a double with two 5oz burgers or a prime (8oz) burger for an additional charge.

The fried baskets available include cod fish and fries, hot wings and fries, Irish sausage and fries and chicken and fries. For the salad lover, they offer the Water Street Salad (mixed greens, goat cheese, craisin, and walnuts served with balsamic dressing,) Iceberg Wedge and a Classic Caesar.You can top your salad with a burger, hot dog or chicken for an additional charge.

The varieties of wings include buffalo, honey hot, honey, BBQ -garlic buffalo, 911, BBQ, Cherry Terri, garlic parm, mango habanero and General Tso’s. Wing lovers may order 6, 10, 14, 20 or even 50 wings and all are served with blue cheese.

All hot dogs include ketchup, mustard, onion, cheese, hot & sweet relish and sauerkraut. You can add loaded homemade chili or bacon for $1. The Junk Yard Dog is a ¼ pound of beef hot dog served with fries. The Old Fashion Dogs includes two pork and beef dogs served with fries and you are invited to pick your toppings from the list above.

The Smokey Dog is a cheddar and pepper smoked sausage that is served with fries. The Naugy Dog is a single hot dog wrapped in bacon that is deep fried and topped with chili and cheese and is served with fries. The Red Hot Dog is served with fries and also allows your to pick your favorite toppings. The Bacon BBQ Dog is topped with crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce and is served with fries. The final option is a single dog for $3.50.

The sides and sweets include fries, onion rings, potato salad, loaded fries that are topped with chili and melted cheddar, garlic parm fries, curry fries and deep fried Oreos.

There is some parking in front of the entrance and in the area and the staff were very welcoming when I stopped by for a copy of the menu.
