WATERBURY – The Waterbury ARC (WARC) regretfully announces the postponement of its Annual Wine and Beer-Tasting Fundraiser and Auction, originally scheduled for June 2, 2021. Due to current circumstances, the event, which is the largest fundraiser of the year for the 69-year-old non-profit, has been rescheduled to June 8, 2022, at the Grand Oak Villa in Watertown, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Diamond Sponsor Post University offers this benefit, which features hearty appetizers and desserts with a cash bar, silent and live auctions, and raffles. Prizes including sweet treats; hotel stays; restaurant gift certificates; spa packages; theatre; sports; museum tickets, and much more, have been graciously donated by businesses and individuals from across the state and beyond. Dozens of charitable entities, companies, and other area non-profits have already assured the organizers of their expected participation in 2022, which will be a grand evening of celebration after what will then be a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. A unique and exciting jewelry event will also be offered through the kindness of Onyx II Jewelers of Watertown.

Platinum Sponsors for this very special evening are Grady & Riley, LLP Attorneys at Law, and Thomaston Savings Bank, with Gold-Level Sponsor backing from Carmody, Torrance, Sandak, & Hennessey, LLP; Noujaim Tool Co., Inc.; St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation; TD Bank, Shaker Automotive Group, Ion Bank, Webster Bank, and the Connecticut Community Foundation. Amodeo’s Highland Package Store in Waterbury serves as the official Wine and Beer Sponsor.

The mission of the Waterbury ARC is to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live, learn, work, and participate in their communities. The Waterbury ARC serves clients from Waterbury and 12 surrounding cities and towns.
