This week, the new feature, Curtain Up, where we play a complete cast recording, spotlights the musical SUGAR. The show is based on the 1959 film comedy classic, SOME LIKE IT HOT.

The Overture begins at 8PM, Friday, April 9 (don't be late and unwrap your candies). Coincidentally, (is it a coincidence?) SUGAR opened at the Majestic Theatre on April 9 back in 1972. The show has a score by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill. It starred Tony Roberts, Robert Morse and Cyril Ritchard. It played for 505 performances on Broadway.

For all those insomniacs in the Sounds of Broadway listening audience, the station has started programming the overnight shift. No more random songs being played. Curated playlists and specialty programs are now running from 1:00AM - 12:00AM.
