Woman, 39, Killed After Being Hit By Car As She Exited Bus: PD
The incident occurred Monday night in Waterbury, according to reports.
WATERBURY, CT — A woman is dead after a hit-and-run accident Monday night in Waterbury on Stillson Road, according to multiple media reports.
Police say the victim, who has been identified as Mariely Cruz, 39, of Waterbury was exiting a Connecticut transit bus when she was hit by a Honda Civic driven by Kristen Mulcahy, 32, Fox 61 and WTNH News 8 report. The accident occurred at 8 p.m. Monday, NBC CT reports.
Mulcahy was sought by police for an earlier domestic incident, which occurred at 6:30 p.m., Fox 61 reports. Mulcahy is accused of assaulting two people and faces charges for that incident.

No charges have been filed against Mulcahy for the fatal accident. She drove the Honda back to the scene after the accident, reports state. Police say Mulcahy was "visibly upset" and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Mulcahy will be charged with two counts of breach of peace, two counts of assault of an elderly person and third-degree criminal mischief, NBC CT reports.
