Naugatuck police have charged an adult after a toddler left in her care was found wandering Central Avenue with a small dog on Friday.
Someone found a small female child, whose age wasn’t immediately released, walking with a small dog in the middle of the street Friday afternoon, police said. That person called police, who were able to determine where the child lived by the tag on the dog’s collar, police said.
The girl’s aunt, who said she is visiting from out of state, said she was supposed to be watching the child but lost track of her for about 45 minutes, according to a police report.
