“We loved learning about [the story of Carla Schneider, CEO & Founder of WubbaNub ] as an entrepreneur and we are so proud to have partnered with her to develop a Stewie the Duck WubbaNub,” says Kim and Stew Leonard, Jr., co-founders of Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation. “We hope that our partnership with WubbaNub sparks water safety conversations with families around the country and teaches Stewie the Duck’s message to not jump in until you learn to swim!”

For over 20 years, WubbaNub has a made it an ongoing mission to give back. From regularly donating to NICUs across the country, providing pacifiers to underprivileged mothers through Operation Shower and Baby2Baby, or raising awareness for CHD with annual Heart Warrior Collection, WubbaNub is committed to helping families. The brand is proud to support another critical issue children are facing today with the release of this new offering.

"We are honored to be collaborating with Kim and Stew Leonard, of the Stew Leonard’s farm fresh food stores,” says Carla Schneider. “As a fellow family-owned business, we feel especially connected to supporting their mission of raising awareness in water safety and education. Partnering with them on a Stewie the Duck WubbaNub to benefit the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation was a clear and natural choice for our brand.”

When Kim and Stew Leonard’s 21-month old toddler lost his life in a drowning accident in 1989, they founded the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation in his memory to prevent the tragedy from happening to other families. Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children under 5 years old, and the Foundation has since raised more than $2 million towards water awareness and education, including has swim scholarships, lifeguard training, and two children’s books on water safety.
