WATERBURY – The public is invited to join a Zoom session hosted by Children’s Community School and featuring Jim Smith on Thursday, April 8 at 4:00 p.m. Zoom sessions have replaced school tours as a way to share information on school issues and keep social distancing. He serves as Co-Chairman of the Board of AdvanceCT, a not-for-profit whose purpose is to drive business development, economic growth and job creation in CT. He serves as Chairman of Trinity Health of New England, and as Chairman of the Hartford Bishops Foundation in affiliation with the Archdiocese of Hartford.

The session will lead with CCS Board Member and moderator, Sue Mellitt, asking Jim his views on the economy statewide and Waterbury specifically and why he calls CCS the "School of Hope." Hear his story of meeting a future president at CCS and what that student is doing now. The session will close with questions, after which Jim will remain for discussion as time allows.
