1-Vehicle Crash In Newtown Leaves Driver Critically Injured: PD

NEWTOWN, CT — A driver was critically injured early Sunday in a one-vehicle crash on Toddy Hill Road near Quarry Ridge Road in Newtown, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 5 a.m., and resulted in the temporary closure of the road while police investigated.

The victim's condition was not immediately known, but the News-Times reports that first responders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the unconscious driver before he was taken to Danbury Hospital.
