2 Injured In 1-Car Crash Into Newtown House: Police
Firefighters had to use a hydraulic cutter and additional saw to extricate the driver from the car.

NEWTOWN, CT — The driver and a passenger were injured Tuesday morning when the Honda sedan they were in crashed into a tree and then a house on West Street in Newtown, according to police.
The extent of the injuries in the 10:30 a.m. crash were not known, but the home was vacant at the time.
Newtown firefighters had to use a hydraulic cutter and additional saws to extricate the driver, a 28-year-old Bridgeport resident, from the vehicle.
