"We Come Here Every Year": A Family of Parade Regulars

The Lynch family are no strangers to Newtown's Labor Day Parade. In fact, at least one has been coming for the past 45 years.

"We've been here every year," says father Jim Lynch. "I've been to every one of these since I was five."

Every year on Labor Day, the family gathers at the same spot -- in front of Edmond Town Hall -- at about 7:00 a.m. to make sure they have a good view.

As the family grew over the years, the next generation of Lynches has been raised on the parade.

"They've come every year since they were born," says Lynch. "We used to bring them here in their strollers."

They even remembered being featured in Patch at last year's parade -- and promised we'd see them again next year.

"Same time, same place," said Lynch.
