Area leaders came to honor a local entrepreneur who demonstrates leadership at an awards ceremony held in honor of Cecil J. Previdi.
DANBURY, CT — A Danbury entrepreneur was presented with The Cecil Previdi Award for his accomplishments in his client-centered service experience. The Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce honored Jim Kennedy, President of The Network Support Company, for 30 years of technology experience in the industry.
Brookfield First Selectman Steve Dunn, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and hundreds of local businessmen and leaders came out in droves to Friday's event which was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Danbury. The award honors a business person in the community who demonstrates vision, leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and progressive business attitudes, according to the Danbury Chamber. The award was organized in memory of Cecil J. Previdi in 1987 after his death in a private airplane accident. Previdi, 45, was the president of Danbury Printing and one of eight was victims of the crash.
Kennedy is Chairman of the Board at Western Connecticut Health Network, a member of the Western Connecticut State University Ancell School of Business Advisory Council and also serves on the IT Advisory Board for Ability Beyond Disability. He is the founding chairman of the Samaritan Health Center, a low-cost pediatric clinic in Danbury.
