Driver Flees After Snapping Utility Pole: Newtown PD
The driver took down a utility pole and wires, police said.
NEWTOWN, CT — A Trumbull man was arrested after he struck a utility pole with his truck and then fled the scene, according to police.
A pole snapped and utility wires came down after the crash Aug. 13 in the area of MT. Nebo Road and Hattertown Road.
The vehicle was later located in Monroe. Operator Scott Cohen, 39, was charged with evading responsibility and making a restrict turn. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
