Fatal I-84 Crash Victim Identified

A Massachusetts man was driving on Interstate 84 in Connecticut when he veered off the road and crashed in the woods.

NEWTOWN, CT — A 69-year-old Massachusetts man was killed in a Wednesday afternoon crash on Interstate 84.

The man was identified as Harold Gilligan, according to The News-Times. His car went off the highway and into the woods around 1:45 p.m.

The crash forced crews to close I-84 eastbound part of Wednesday afternoon in the area of Exit 10.
