I-84 Exit 9 In Newtown To Close This Tuesday, Wednesday Night

NEWTOWN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled two-night closure of the Exit 9, Interstate 84 eastbound ramps in Newtown, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The ramps will be closed beginning at 10:00 p.m., and will reopen at 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

"The closure and detour is necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting," according to an alert from the DOT.

Detour Information:

• Eastbound Exit 9 off-ramp: Take exit 10 follow Route 25 detour.
• Eastbound Exit 9 on-ramp: Follow Route 25 detour to exit 10.
