Judge: Sandy Hook Families' Demands Of Remington 'Fair Game'
The ruling is the latest victory for families of nine children and one teacher who died in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.
NEWTOWN, CT — A judge gas ruled against Remington in the company's ongoing legal battle with 10 Sandy Hook families.
Superior Court Judge Barbara Bellis ruled Tuesday that the information the families are seeking in their wrongful death lawsuit is "fair game," according to the News-Times, and the nation's oldest gunmaker must "act in good faith" to provide it.
The ruling is the latest victory for the families of nine children and one teacher who died in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The lawsuit argues that the Madison, North Carolina-based company should never have sold a weapon as dangerous as the Bushmaster AR-15-style rifle to the public. Attorneys also allege that Remington Arms marketed the AR-15 rifle used to kill 20 children and six educators as a weapon made for dealing maximum damage.
The case is being closely watched by Second Amendment supporters, gun control advocates, and gun manufacturers across the country. It has the potential to provide a blueprint for victims of mass shootings to circumvent federal law and sue the makers of the firearm.
