Man Accused Of Stalking In Newtown: Police

The man was arrested during the overnight hours, according to police.

NEWTOWN, CT — A Manchester man is accused of stalking at a Newtown residence early Thursday morning, according to police.

Matthew Hanson, 31, was arrested around 3 a.m. after police say he was found in the driveway of a residence on Surrey Trail in Newtown. Police responded to a report of an “unwanted person” at the residence.

Hanson, of Village Street in Manchester, was charged with second-degree stalking. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 15.
