Man Came Out Swinging A Pipe At Construction Workers: Newtown PD

Police say a man became violent when he nearly collided with another vehicle at the construction zone on High Rock Road.

NEWTOWN, CT — Police charged a Bronx man with breach of peace after they say he became violent in a construction zone.

On Wednesday, Newtown police were called to investigate a disturbance at a work zone on High Rock Road.

Police say that Henrri Mota-Salcedo, 53, of the Bronx, NY, nearly collided with another vehicle after ignoring a worker directing traffic at the construction zone. He then got out of his vehicle, took a metal pipe from the bed of his truck, and became violent, swinging the pipe at one of the construction workers, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Mota-Salcedo was charged with reckless driving and breach of peace. He was released after being processed and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Aug. 5.
