Newtown Chamber Save the Date for Martini Madness 2019

The Chamber of Commerce of Newtown will host its Sixth Annual Martini Madness Tasting and Competition. The event will be held on Thursday May 2nd at the Newtown Country Club from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. We are looking forward to having our wonderful competitors return for an evening of fierce, yet friendly and fun competition. This is a great event to promote Newtown’s skilled and committed restaurateurs that devote their time and talent for making delicious martinis!

According to Chamber Member Julie Friend of eFriend Marketing who is spearheading this year’s event along with Chamber Board Member Judith Miller of Manzi Insurance, “Having secured the event date with Newtown Country Club, the Chamber is now actively seeking Sponsors, Silent Auction items and confirming Competitors. The evening will include food, music, a raffle, and silent auction. Food will be prepared by staff at the Newtown Country Club, and we’re looking forward to music being spun by John Voket of 99 Dollar DJ & Entertainment

Last year’s event was a great success as noted by attendee Martina Sprague, Owner of Balanced Pilates & Barre Studio, “Such a fun event showcasing the local restaurants and businesses. I absolutely loved tasting all of the creative and delicious martinis! It was also a pleasure to meet many of the restaurant owners and learn about their creative visions and culinary passions. Looking forward to next year's event.”

The 2018 winners were, the Note Kitchen | Bar for Best Presentation, Barnwood Grill for Most Creative, and Cover Two Sports Cafe for Best Overall. We’d like to thank the first two returning Competitors Cover Two Sports Café, and The Note for agreeing to participate! When asked for a commitment to participate, Tyler Tarantino Owner, Cover Two Sports Café stated “Cover Two is looking forward to another great night showcasing all of the vast martini options displayed by the wonderful restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. And of course, a special thanks to the whole Chamber of Commerce and Martini Madness team for putting on such a great event!”
