Newtown Home Invasion Arrest Made: PD

Police described it as a "planned robbery, drug deal, gone bad."

NEWTOWN, CT — Police arrested a Danbury man who was wanted on home invasion and other charges.

Logan Buckner, 21, was arrested April 26 and charged with home invasion, first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit home invasion. The arrest stems back to an armed robbery in October 2018 that occurred at a Meadow Brook Road residence, police said.

"This was a very extensive, years long, investigation on what would be best described as a planned robbery, drug deal, gone bad" Lt. Aaron Bahamonde. "The victim was struck in the head with the butt of a gun during the robbery, the victim was not seriously injured". "

Warrants have been secured for three suspects. One suspect is a juvenile and the other suspect hasn't been officially charged, but is in a New York State prison on gun and drug charges, Bahamonde said.

Bond for Buckner was set at $250,000.
