Newtown Man Threatened And Fired Shot At Delivery People: Report
The man was arrested following a complaint that he had threatened to shoot two people who had arrived at his property to drop off items.

NEWTOWN, CT — Police charged a man with reckless endangerment after they say he discharged a firearm while threatening to shoot two people.
On Wednesday, George Geanuracos, 56, of Huntingtown Road, turned himself in to the Newtown Police Department after being advised of the warrant for his arrest, according to the police report. The warrant was based on a complaint that Geanuracos had threatened to shoot two people who had arrived at his property to drop off items belonging to him. The complainant told police that Geanuracos had been alerted of the delivery in advance.
According to the complaint, Geanuracos came out of his house, told the complainant he was going to shoot him, then re-entered the residence only to return with a handgun that he fired at the complainant

Police charged Geanuracos with first-degree threatening, second-degree reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct and discharge of a firearm. He was scheduled to appear in court later the same day.
