Newtown PD Makes 4 Recent DUI Arrests
Police made four DUI arrests over the course of six days.
NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Police recently made four DUI arrests in town. Below are summaries from police on the incidents.
DUI Arrest After Crash
George Geanuracos, 55, of Newtown was arrested by warrant on Sept. 25. The warrant stemmed from a single-car crash on April 21 on South Main Street, police said. He was charged with DUI, reckless driving and failure to drive in the proper lane.

Woman Calls Police While Police Already At Scene
Teresa Jennings, 56, of Brookfield was charged with DUI Sept. 24 after police investigated a dispute.

Jennings was uncooperative with officers on scene and called Newtown Police on her phone for further assistance, police said. She later refused a breath test.
Intoxicated Man Drives Home: PD
John Grimardi, 54, of Newtown was charged with DUI Sept. 24 after he drove away from a parking lot and was later found at his residence as he was driving home to Cedar Hill Road, police said.
Police were originally called by a concerned citizen who suspected he was intoxicated, according to police.
Speeding Driver Arrested
Michael Mondo, 36, of Trumbull was charged with speeding and DUI after he was found traveling 61 mph in a 40 mph zone on Blackman Road Sept. 19, according to police.
