Newtown PD To Take Part In Virtual Penguin Plunge
The annual event set for March 27 raises funds for Special Olympics Connecticut.

The Newtown Police Department is proud to continue our partnership with Special Olympics Connecticut in this year's virtual Penguin Plunge. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of supporting others and coming together as a community. The Newtown Police would like to continue to show our support for these amazing athletes, and we will be taking our plunge this year March 27.

On Saturday 3/27/2021 at 0900 officers from the Newtown Police Department will be participating in a virtual Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics. Due to Covid restrictions, participation is limited to the officers, but the press is welcome to attend.
