Newtown Police Receive a Donation of Plush K9 Dogs for Kids

Plush K9 "Trouble the Dog" to Help Newtown Police Respond to Children in Crisis

The Newtown Police Department recently accepted a donation of plush K9 "Trouble" dogs, thanks to a generous donation from The Hometown Foundation Inc. Newtown Police Officer Felicia Figol and her K9, Aris met with Sheila Duncan, left, Founder of The Kennek Foundation, who presented the plush dogs to Officer Figol for the Newtown Police to have on hand in their cruisers to help children in crisis - children who may be involved in an accident, fire, or other emergency and are in need of a source of comfort.

Warm congratulations to Officer Figol who was chosen as 2019 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by The American Legion, Dept of CT.
