Newtown Restaurant Settles ADA Complaint
The restaurant and its landlord are in the process of resolving issues that restrict access for those with disabilities.
NEWTOWN, CT — The Market Place Kitchen and its landlord came to an agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office to resolve an Americans with Disabilities Act complaint. The complaint alleged that certain aspects of the Market Place weren't accessible to those with disabilities.
The Market Place will provide accessible dining room tables, restrooms and other accessibility options as part of the settlement.
U.S. Attorney John Durham said The Market Place and landlord Mesa Contractors were cooperative throughout the process.
