Newtown Starbucks Opens Friday With Drive-Thru

There will be no need to exit your car to get coffee in Newtown.

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown's Starbucks will reopen at a new location and with a drive-thru upgrade Friday June 14, according to a sign posted on the building. Workers were inside Thursday making the last preparations for the opening at the 73-75 Church Hill Road plaza, which is close to exit 10 on I-84.

The state Department of Transportation spent $2.85 million to realign the nearby intersection to help reduce the number of crashes in the area.

The drive-thru is located at the back and side of the plaza. Starbucks used to be located at 34 Church Hill Road.

The drive-thru will only be the second for restaurants in Newtown, according to the News-Times.
