Newtown Youth & Family Offer Teens Opportunity to Help Community Through Job Bank

Sandy Hook and Newtown residents who need help with yard work, babysitting or errands should contact Newtown Youth & Family.

Newtown, CT — Newtown Youth and Family Services has launched a program that gives youth marketable job skills and knowledge that will help them in their future career choices.

Over 200 youths ages 13-18 have been pre-screened to help Newtown residents and seniors who need some help around the house. Job requests for babysitting, mother's helper, yard work, housework, clerical, pet sitting, restaurant help, tutoring and computer assistance go through a coordinator who then matches candidates with those who need help.

For more information about the job bank, visit their website contact Randee Bok at rbok@newtownyouthandfamilyservices.org or (203) 270-4335 ext. 312.
