Newtown's Weekend Weather Forecast

NEWTOWN, CT — Following forecasts of a potential Nor'Easter, it seems we are in weather that will make you feel like summer is finally here. Weekend temperatures will creep into the eighties, culminating with temperatures in the high eighties on Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast Friday and Saturday, but at chances below 30 percent.

• Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. West wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
• Sunny, with a high near 87.
