NY Man Accused Of Waving Machete In Traffic In Newtown: Police
Newtown police said Jeremy Cornielle appeared to be upset about traffic.
NEWTOWN, CT — A 28-year-old Wappingers Fall, New York, man was arrested on a charge of second-degree breach of peace Tuesday after police said he was seen waving around a machete out the window of his vehicle.
Jeremy Cornielle was waving the machete around while driving on South Main Street in Newtown after he became "upset at heavy traffic on the highway," in what Newtown police said was a possible "road rage incident."
No injuries were reported, and no one else was arrested.

Cornielle was released after posting a $500 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 24.
