John William Vollmer Jr. age 84 of Newtown died Wednesday, February 12 in Danbury Hospital. John was born in Norwalk Hospital the son of the late Dr. John William Vollmer and Mildred Rowe Vollmer. He was predeceased by his wife Melissa Haines Vollmer. John served in the US Navy. He was a Senior Electrical Engineer at Perkin Elmer.

John is survived by his sons, John William Vollmer and his wife Heidi of Goshen, CT; and his son William Haines Vollmer and wife Charlene of Monroe and grandsons Jake and Michael. Also, a loving niece, nephews, family and friends.
