Margaret E. Paniccia, 78, of Newtown, CT entered into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at Bethel Health Care. She was the loving mother of 4 children, grandmother of 8 grandchildren, and wife of Fernando Paniccia.

Margaret was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 7th, 1942. She worked as a nurses’ aid at Ashlar of Newtown for many years. Margaret was the most caring person you could have known. She would help out anyone who was in need of her support. Margaret’s passion in life was to give her kids and grandchildren anything that she could afford or physically do to help them. She loved camping, sitting around an open fire, having large gatherings at her home, and cooking homemade meals with all of her friends and family to enjoy each other’s company. Making others happy, giving a helping hand, and making sure we all remember to love each other and to be grateful, were her fulfillments in life.

Margaret was predeceased by her loving son Mark and brother John Samu

In addition to her husband, Margaret leaves behind her children, sons Mario (Roseanna), Michael (Michele), daughter Margaret, grandchildren Marissa, Melissa, Christina, Michael, Domenick, Mario Jr, Margaret (Maggy) and Brianna, brother Kenneth Samu, and sister Priscilla Nadhazi, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: Due to the Covid virus pandemic, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at 12:00 noon. There is a maximum of 100 people allowed to attend the church ceremony. The funeral mass will be live streamed at www.strosechurch.com/live-stre...
