Openings For Volunteers To Join 3 Newtown Commissions

First Selectman Daniel Rosenthal said all three vacancies are available to Newtown residents who are Republicans or unaffiliated voters.

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown has three vacancies to fill on three different town groups, all three of which are open to residents who are Republicans or unaffiliated voters, according to First Selectman Daniel Rosenthal.

The vacancies are volunteer positions to the following boards or commissions:

  • The Inland Wetland Commission, one vacancy
  • The Pension Committee, one vacancy; interested parties may apply by June 11.
  • The Fairfield Hills Authority, one vacancy; interested parties may apply by June 30
