Sandy Hook Victim's Dad Speaks Out About Truthers

One week before the fourth anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting, a Sandy Hook victim's dad speaks out about hoaxers.

SANDY HOOK, CT — Len Pozner, the father of 6-year-old Noah Pozner, one of 20 children and six educators who were slain in the Sandy Hook School massacre spoke on Anderson Cooper's show "AC360" about a "hoaxer" and "truthers" who deny the tragedy happened and has been harassing families, according to CNN.

A 56-year-old Florida woman, Lucy Richards, was indicted after federal authorities said that she threatened the family because she felt the massacre was a hoax. CNN reports that she called the Pozners and said, "You gonna die, death is coming you real soon," and "death is coming to you real soon and there's nothing you can do about it."

The U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement that the Sandy Hook Richards is accused of threatening relocated to Florida. According to the court record in this case, including allegations made at the initial hearing, on or about Jan. 10, 2016, Richards made a series of death threats to a parent of a child killed in the Sandy Hook School shooting. The parent resides in South Florida. Richards believed that the school shooting was a hoax and never happened, which allegedly motivated her to make the charged threats.

Richards was arrested on Dec. 5 and charged with four counts of transmitting threats. Richards is scheduled for an initial appearance in Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 19 and could face a maximum term of five years in prison, authorities said.

The Dec. 14, 2012, Sandy Hook School shooting resulted in the death of 20 children and six educators.
