State Troopers Seek Public's Help In Newtown Investigation

NEWTOWN, CT — State police are looking into an accident involving a sport utility vehicle they say fled the scene.

Troop A has asked for the public's help in their investigation of an accident on Interstate 84 West, in the area of Exit 11 (Newtown) on Monday morning around 7:45.

The troopers say an older model, dark gray, Toyota 4Runner with two kayaks attached to its roof fled the scene of an accident with its rear bumper hanging off.
