Storm Knocks Out Power for Some Newtown Residents

NEWTOWN, CT — The season's first Nor'easter has impacted many Eversource customers in Newtown and neighboring towns. As of 3:30 Saturday afternoon, 34 residents in town are still without power.

The darkest town nearby is Ridgefield, with 119 still in the dark. Kent is next with 63. There are ten dark homes in New Milford, nine in Danbury, four in both Monroe and Redding, and two in New Fairfield.

According to the National Weather Service, the worst of the rain is now behind us.
