Wendy Williams Woodward, 56, of Newtown, Passed Away
Newtown resident Wendy Woodward was a devoted advocate for animals and was a member of the ASPCA.
NEWTOWN, CT — Wendy Williams Woodward, 56, of Newtown passed away November 10th 2016. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David "Woody" Woodward and her beloved Dad, Ellwood Williams.
Wendy was a devoted advocate for animals and was a member of the ASPCA. She spent many years working as a nursing assistant at Ashlar of Newtown. She is survived by her loving Mom, Elaine Williams of Newtown; Sisters Michelle Thompson of Southbury, Anne Williams of Newtown and Elaine Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC and her long time best friend Jean Johnson of Newtown. She is also survived by her loving Aunt Arlene and Uncle Tommy of Stratford, and Mary and Abe Williams of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Wendy will be remembered for her laughter and funny personality. She will forever be in our hearts.
A Service of the Resurrection will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday November 16th in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St. Newtown with Rev. Leo McIlrath officiating. Friends may call Wednesday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org.
