Woman Held Child Over I-84 Overpass: Newtown PD
Police shut down the highway and were able to take the child safely into custody.
NEWTOWN, CT — A Newtown woman was arrested after she held a 3-year-old child over the barriers of the I-84 overpass on Tunnel Road Wednesday, according to police.
State police shut down the highway and Newtown police took Micheale Brewer, 33, into custody.
Brewer was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor.

The child was given to his father. The state Department of Children and Families is also investigating the incident.
