Your Horse Our Trails

The Friends of the Second Company Governor's Horse Guard is hosting their first major event in two years and are excited to announce their 2021 Trail Ride: YOUR HORSE – OUR TRAILS

Horses and riders are invited to take a scenic trail ride through the historic Horse Guard property, surrounding trails, woods and fields on Sunday, June 6th 2021. Rain date is June 13th 2021.

The event starts at 8am and the last riders must head out on the trail by 11am.

The trail ride is approx. 1 – 1.5 hours long depending on your pace.

Everyone with a horse (and up to date negative Coggins test) is invited to come meet up and spend a wonderful morning in nature together. Feel free to pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic on their property afterwards (NOTE – No alcohol permitted on 2GHG grounds).

"We are looking forward to getting everyone together after a quiet year and are excited to show people our beautiful facility and surrounding grounds." said SGT. Bonnie Cypher, who is the lead powerhouse behind the scenes with coordinating this event.

"We want to thank the NBLA and the Catherine Hubbard Society for their continued support and partnership on the use of the trails and look forward to coordinating similar types of Trail Rides in the future", said LTC. Gordon Johnson who is representing the Friends of the 2nd Company Governor's Horse Guard who are sponsoring this great event.

"All funds donated will help towards the feed, farrier and hay for our herd. We appreciate everyone's support and help and look forward to a fun day for both horses and riders!" said SGT. Bonnie Cypher.

Rain Date: Sunday, June 13th

Rider Donation: $25 (Sign up and pay on the day) to benefit the horses of the 2GHG.
