2 Restaurants Close Abruptly In South Norwalk
Signs indicating the buildings are available for sale/lease have been put over the signs for both restaurants.
NORWALK, CT — Two South Norwalk restaurants have closed abruptly only months after opening in the fall. Signs indicating the building housing Bourbon Raw Kentucky Kitchen & Raw Bar and Cantiki Taco Deck is available for sale/lease have been put over the signs for both restaurants.
Located at 80 Washington Street, Bourbon Raw opened in September and Cantiki opened soon after. The signs indicating the buildings' availability are from Cushman & Wakefield, a Chicago-based commercial real estate services company with a regional office in New York.
The restaurants opened in the former location of the Killer B burger bar and country bar Johnny Utah's, which closed last year following a police raid investigating reports of over 100 underage patrons at the bar. In June, the Department of Consumer Protection announced the bar would not reopen after their permit was cancelled.

The restaurants are not the first in the area to close within the past year. In November, Cask Republic suddenly shut down its 99 Washington Street location after 12 years in SoNo. In August, Naked Greens closed after over six years in South Norwalk. Makondo Latin Restaurant & Bar opened in its place at the end of last year.
