7-Vehicle Norwalk Crash Ends In Arrest Of Drunken Driver: PD

NORWALK, CT — No injuries were reported but one 29-year-old Norwalk man was arrested Wednesday evening following a seven-vehicle crash on West Avenue in Norwalk near Garner Street, according to police.

"West Ave was shut down for an extended period of time," wrote Norwalk police on the department's Facebook page. "We remind everyone if you choose to consume alcohol, designate a driver or use alternate transportation."

The arrested driver was charged with driving under the influence, operating a vehicle without a license and other charges, police said. The Hour reported his name is Mauro Monroy-Barrientos, of Woodward Avenue.
