Another Winter Storm Sunday In Norwalk; Snow Emergency Declared
The snow emergency is in effect from 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, and remain in effect until further notice.

NORWALK, CT — A winter storm is expected to hit Norwalk and the region on Sunday, Feb. 7, and as a result, Mayor Harry Rilling has declared another snow emergency for the city.
City officials said the latest forecast calls for 3-6 inches of snow in Norwalk, with the majority of the accumulation occurring from late Sunday morning into the mid-afternoon. During that period, snowfall rates could reach 1 to 2 inches per hour.
The snow emergency will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday and remain in effect until further notice.

The following is from the city's announcement:
- Plow trucks are ready to go. Pre-treatment of roads will begin tomorrow morning before any accumulation falls with an emphasis on known trouble spots.
- The Yankee Doodle and Maritime Garages will be open for free overnight parking starting at 4 PM today. We ask residents to please move vehicles off of the street.
- City garbage and recycling collection tomorrow (Sunday) is on as planned to collect Friday routes. A decision regarding collection on Monday will be made tomorrow afternoon.
- COVID-19 testing operations at Veteran’s Park and Norwalk Community College may be closed early or entirely tomorrow. Please visit norwalkct.org/testing for the latest updates.
