NORWALK, CT — Police said multiple gun shots were heard Sunday night near a residential building in Norwalk, one of which went through a window and struck and killed a cat.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said the department received calls around 11:30 p.m. reporting multiple gun shots heard in the area of a building on West Main Street.

According to Gulino, one of the shots went through the window of one of the building's residences and struck and killed a cat.

A vehicle was heard screeching its tires and quickly leaving the area just after the shots were heard, Gulino said.

Police investigators are looking into the possibility of this shooting being related to recent incidents involving shots fired, Gulino said.
