East Norwalk 2018 Tree Lighting Brings Holiday Cheer
The annual holiday event featured musical performances and even a visit from Santa Claus.
NORWLAK, CT — The Third Taxing District held its 2018 Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Roger Ludlow Triangle in East Norwalk this weekend. Residents young and old sang along to Christmas carols and enjoyed hot chocolate and mulled cider Sunday night as they waited in anticipation of the bright spectacle to come.
The event featured musical performances by SummerTime Band and the children's choir from Marvin Elementary School.
After the tree was lit, Santa arrived in a Third Taxing District bucket truck decorated with Christmas lights to take pictures with the kids and find out what they wanted for Christmas this year. The SummerTime Band even performed "Here Comes Santa Claus" as the truck came rolling down the street and encouraged everyone to sing along.
