MTC has been working hard since the pandemic began, and while there was a time our physical doors were shut, it allowed us to open our virtual doors. We quickly pivoted, creating a virtual student production of The Wizard of Oz. Soon after, a virtual gala, three virtual fundraisers, and four virtual summer workshops. In September, we were one of three professional theatres in the country, and the first in Connecticut, to be given approval to open to indoor events by Actor’s Equity Association. We were even featured in the New York Times! Our 34th MainStage season has continued with audiences viewing our regular performances both in person, following strict health & safety protocols, and through a live stream from the comfort of their home. No matter the medium, MTC has persevered and continues to produce quality conservatory programming and MainStage performances, which wouldn’t have been possible without our supporters.
