How Many Norwalk Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?
State health officials released data — for the first time — showing how many people in each town have been vaccinated for the coronavirus.
NORWALK, CT — A total of 5,897 Norwalk residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to newly released data from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
There are 88,816 residents in Norwalk, and based on the numbers as of Feb. 1, 6.64 percent of them have received their first dose. Norwalk has 5,198 residents over the age of 75 and 2,211 of them have received their first dose or 42.54 percent, according to state health officials.
And if you're curious, Stamford has disseminated the vaccine to 6.83 percent of its population, while Wilton is at 9.53 percent and Westport is at 8.03 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, Norwalk has reported more than 8,500 confirmed virus cases and 200 deaths. State health officials listed Norwalk as also having an additional four probable coronavirus deaths, and more than 100 additional probable cases.
