Human Services Council Hosts SoNo Stroll Benefit

HSC's biggest fundraiser, the Stroll, kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on June 7.

From HSC CT: In less than three weeks, the Human Services Council will host its biggest fundraiser, the SoNo Stroll Benefit. In its ninth year, the Stroll has become HSC’s biggest and most successful fundraiser. On June 7, 2017, SoNo Stroll kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at Mora Mora, 17 Washington Street, South Norwalk, where a cocktail reception will take place, along with live and silent auctions. Following the reception and auctions, guests partake in a three-course meal at one of the event’s ten participating SoNo restaurants.

Purdue Pharma is our generous title sponsor. Additionally we have received critical support from First County Bank and Peter DiNardo Enterprises. Other sponsors include Cushman & Wakefield, RC Bigelow, Inc., Baywater Properties, James P. Murphy & Associates, M&T Bank, EFA Partners, CBRE, A. Pappajohn Company and many, many more. Paul Zullo and Donna Bonato of Silver Creative, 50 Water Street, Norwalk have provided the beautiful graphic design, artwork and all supporting materials for the event.

Additionally, Silver provides branding of the entire organization’s materials all year long at no charge. Brenda McKenna of BCM Media, 30 Old Kings Highway South, Darien, provides gratis media support and public relations support not only for events but also throughout the given year. A special thanks to these business owners. We could not do this amazing work without you. Silver and BCM’s ability to give us the support they do, at no charge, enables our agency to be a polished, professional entity allowing us to spend our funding on the valuable programming we offer to the community members that are in need.

Casey Dohme of Blind Rhino, located at 15 North Main Street, Norwalk has volunteered their time and staff to acquire donations of beer, wine and specialty liquors for the cocktail reception. Paula Garelick, owner of Mora Mora and Garelick & Herbs, has shown her generosity by providing the beautiful venue at 17 Washington Street for our cocktail reception and a menu of scrumptious hors d’oeuvres for our guests to enjoy. We are so grateful for the efforts of these two businesses who have made possible the success of this event.

The restaurants are the final destination of this wonderful event and this year we are lucky to have our guests dine at Washington Prime, Match, El Segundo, The Spread, Valentino’s Cucina Italiana, Mama’s Boy, Bruculino, O’Neill’s Irish Pub, Tablao and Kazu. Each restaurant provides a delectable menu that includes choices of three salads or appetizers, three entrees and three desserts.
