Make-A-Wish Teen Gets The Boat Of Her Dreams From Norwalk Biz

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk business recently teamed up with Make-A-Wish Connecticut and a Fairfield eatery to give a teen with cystic fibrosis the boat of her dreams.

Jersey Mike’s in Fairfield welcomed Sara, of Durham, for a special lunch Tuesday to surprise her with the news that she would be receiving a pontoon boat later that day from A&S Boats in Norwalk.

“After such a stressful year, made even more stressful by her illness, 17-year-old Sara just wants to relax with her family and hang out on the water,” according to a news release from Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

Sara enjoys paddleboarding, water skiing and country music. She arrived at Jersey Mike’s in a limousine and later headed to A&S, where she saw her boat for the first time.
