Man Shot In Area Of Norwalk Housing Complex: Police
A man was struck by gunfire during a shooting incident over the weekend in the area of a housing complex in Norwalk, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A man was struck by gunfire during a shooting incident Sunday evening in the area of the Meadow Gardens Housing Complex in Norwalk, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said the man was dropped off at Norwalk Hospital around 10:30 p.m. with a gunshot wound.
Officers subsequently found and stopped the vehicle that dropped the man off. After speaking with the people in the vehicle, police determined the man was shot at Meadow Gardens, Gulino said.

Officers then responded to the housing complex and began gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses, Gulino said.
"At this time, our investigators know that a dark vehicle was driving by the basketball court area of the Meadow Gardens Housing Complex, where a group of people were gathered," Gulino said. "Multiple shots were fired toward the group, and the [man] was the only person struck."

Gulino said the man received emergency care at Norwalk Hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
She also noted police are exploring the possibility that this incident is connected to a recent shooting at the Suncrest Village Housing Complex and "continue to exhaust all leads."
